July 24, 2026 Mrs. Sujaree Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics region 1 (OAE1) ,Chiang Mai Province, assigned Miss Wipawan Srichamnong, Senior Economist, along with officials from the Research and Evaluation Division, to attend the 1/2026 meeting of the Phayao Provincial Sub-Committee on Agricultural and Cooperatives Development at the Ruang Thong Meeting Room, Phayao Rice Research Center, Tha Wang Thong Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Phuthana Chomphuming, Deputy Governor of Phayao Province, with the participation of heads of government agencies, representatives from agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the private sector, and farmers’ representatives.
The meeting considered the draft Phayao Provincial Agricultural and Cooperatives Development Plan (2028–2032) to determine the direction of agricultural sector development in alignment with the potential of the area, relevant strategies, and current circumstances.
On this occasion, OAE1 presented a study on the marginal cost of greenhouse gas mitigation through soil test-based fertilizer application measures for rice and maize. This presentation supports the indicators and targets under Strategic Issue 3 regarding the area subjected to soil analysis, management, and improvement (2,400 rai per year), while also helping to reduce production costs and increase farmers’ incomes.
