The Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 (OAE R1) participated in the opening ceremony and attended panel discussions on technology, innovation, as well as regional economic and social development at the “Northern Tech on the Rock 2026” event, organized under the Northern Digital Connect Program.
On 10 January 2026, Ms. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 (OAE R1), assigned officials from the Research and Evaluation Division of OAE R1 to attend the “Northern Tech on the Rock 2026” event at the Administrative Building of the Northern Regional Science Park, Chiang Mai Province.
The event was organized by the Northern Digital Business Association with support from the United States Government under the Northern Digital Connect Program. The objectives of the event were to promote connectivity and the exchange of technological knowledge, foster collaborative networks among the public sector, private sector, and educational institutions, and support the development of the regional digital economy. These efforts aim to drive and enhance the technology and innovation ecosystem in Northern Thailand. The event featured panel discussions on key issues related to technology and innovation, as well as regional economic and social development. Key discussion topics included “Northern DNA: Decoding the Success Formula of Tech Businesses in Northern Thailand” and “Women in Tech: Breaking Traditional Barriers and Advancing Women’s Roles in the Technology Sector.”
