On March 18, 2026, Mrs. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 (Director of OAE Region 1), together with OAE Region 1 officials, participated in the Technology Transfer Day to Launch the New Production Season (Field Day) for Industrial Potato Varieties, held at the Faykwang Subdistrict Municipality Office, Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province.
The event featured a panel discussion on the topic of “Guidelines for Promoting the Expansion of Industrial Potato Cultivation Areas,” as well as knowledge-sharing activities on quality industrial potato production, covering the following topics: variety selection and seed tuber preparation, soil preparation and planting, water, fertilizer, and nutrient management, pest and disease control for potatoes, and harvesting and post-harvest management.
In addition, the officials visited an industrial potato plot belonging to a farmer (Mrs. Sumitra Jaidee) in Ban Pua Mai, Faykwang Subdistrict, Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province. This plot has been supported through the promotion of appropriate technology to enhance sustainable potato production efficiency. The visit also included monitoring the potato production situation in Phayao Province.
