On 13 March 2026, Ms. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 (OAE Region 1), assigned Ms. Sakdamnoen Nonkiti, Director of the Research and Evaluation Division, together with OAE Region 1 staff, to attend the “Mae Taeng Model Mobilization” event at the Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Learning Center (AEP Center) in Mae Taeng District, Ban Nong Bua Noi, Chiang Mai Province.
The event was presided over by Mr. Chainarong Nantayasai, Chief District Officer of Mae Taeng, and attended by representatives from government agencies, the private sector, the Thai Soybean Food Producers Trade Association, farmer groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
📌 During the event, the “Golden Soybean Grower Award – Year 2” was presented under the High-Yield Soybean Promotion Project for the 2024/2025 production season. The event also marked the launch of a pilot soybean production plot using fully integrated agricultural machinery, aimed at reducing production costs, particularly labor expenses, which have been continuously increasing.
📌 In addition, a network of quality soybean seed producers was established to supply seeds to farmers cultivating soybeans after the rice harvest. This initiative will help address the shortage of soybean seeds and ensure that farmers have sufficient access to high-quality seeds.
