On 14 December 2025, Ms. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1, took part in a field visit to follow up on the official inspection in Chiang Mai Province by Mr. Naret Thamrongthipyakun, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The visit was conducted under the campaign project to stop open burning in land reform areas, titled “Hug Baan Hao, Let’s Stop Burning”, at the Doi Lo District Office, Chiang Mai Province.
The event was attended by Mr. Rattapol Naradisorn, Governor of Chiang Mai Province; Mr. Setthakiat Krangwong, Secretary-General of the Agricultural Land Reform Office; the Inspector General for Inspection Area 15; heads of government agencies; and local officials.
Activities held during the event included the presentation of agricultural land title deeds and tree title deeds in land reform areas to farmers, the unveiling of the Stop Burning Campaign Center in land reform areas, activity stations on the management of agricultural residues, demonstrations on making leaf compost (longan leaves), and biochar production.
