Office of Agricultural Economics Region 11 (OAE 11)

The Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 conducted a field visit to clarify the data collection process for yield per rai using the crop-cutting method (Crop Cutting) for first-season feed corn in the 2025/26 planting year.

On 21 November 2025, Ms. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 (ROAE 1), together with ROAE 1 staff, visited the field to provide clarification on the data collection of yield per rai using the crop-cutting method (Crop Cutting) for first-season feed corn in the 2026/27 planting year.

The objective was to enhance understanding of the working principles and the academic-based data collection procedures of the Office of Agricultural Economics.

The activity was joined by the network of feed-corn farmers in Mae Chaem District, the Chiang Mai Provincial Agricultural Office, Mae Chaem District Agricultural Office, Chiang Mai Provincial Office of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and the Mae Chaem Agricultural Cooperative. The field visit took place at a feed-corn plantation in Village No. 5, Ban Nahong, Mae Suek Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province.

During the visit, farmers expressed interest in learning about the cost-of-production analysis for feed corn. ROAE 1 will provide further training for farmers on this topic in the future.
