On 22 August 2025, Ms. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Office 1, assigned officers from the Agricultural Economic Development Planning Division to participate in the field inspection led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives (Mr. Akkara Phromphao) together with executives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The visit was held to kick off the project to promote and raise awareness of northern coffee production throughout the supply chain at the Mae Na Chon Subdistrict Administrative Organization.
As part of the event, 66,900 Arabica coffee seedlings were distributed to 80 farmers in Mae Chaem District, covering an area of 223 rai, in order to increase farmers’ income and provide an alternative to growing maize for animal feed.
In addition, the delegation attended a briefing on water management and water resource development in Mae Chaem District at the District Office, and also listened to the issues and needs of local farmers and residents at Huai Luang Weir, Chang Khoeng Subdistrict, Mae Chaem District, Chiang Mai Province.
