On August 13, 2025, Mrs. Sucharee Picha, Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 1 (OAE 1), attended the 1st Meeting of the Subcommittee on Agricultural and Cooperative Development of Lampang Province for 2025 to acknowledge the water management situation and the agricultural production situation. The meeting was held at the Alamphang Conference Room, 4th Floor, Lampang Provincial Hall, chaired by Mr. Krisana Phinit, Deputy Governor of Lampang Province.
On this occasion, the Director of OAE 1 reported on the agricultural economic conditions in the second quarter of 2025 (April – June), which expanded by 13.8 percent compared to the same period in 2024. This growth was attributed to sufficient water resources for rice cultivation, an increase in the area yielding pineapples for processing in 2025, and expansion in agricultural services from paddy harvesting activities.
As for the 2025 agricultural economic outlook of Lampang Province, the agricultural sector is expected to grow by 1.8–2.8 percent, supported by adequate water resources, favorable weather conditions for crop growth, and government policies that promote agricultural production efficiency, encourage the use of technology and innovation to reduce costs. However, risk factors that still require close monitoring include climate change and the persistently high prices of agricultural production inputs.
